CABLE – Barbara "Barb" D. Boggs, 68 of Cable, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Barb was born on Aug. 21, 1956 in Chillicothe, Ohio, to William "Dick" and Sondra (Knapp) Chester. Following her graduation from the 1974 class of Mechanicsburg High School, Barb would go on to work for 10 years at Honda Manufacturing. However, she found the most career fulfillment while working, and eventually retiring, as a librarian for 25-plus years between Triad Local School District and the Champaign County Public Library. In her free time, Barb was an avid reader and animal lover, who also enjoyed frequenting the theater to watch the local productions. Continuing her path as a light to many students as a librarian, Barb was also extremely active in the Triad School District band and choir communities. Barb found her greatest moments of pride and joy, however, in the moments outside of work while watching and supporting her daughters in all their
