MECHANICSBURG - Richard "Dick" Lee Crain, born Dec. 29, 1947 in Mechanicsburg, Ohio, died on Jan. 22, 2025 in Columbus, Ohio. He was the son of Albert Ray Crain and Carmen Bullard Crain. Dick graduated from Mechanicsburg High School in 1965 and served in the Army from 1969 to 1976. After his time in Vietnam, Dick later ended his military career as a Warrant Officer and helicopter pilot. Those close to him knew he was an intelligent man who was ornery and gruff but at the same time had a heart of gold. He is survived by his wife and three children. May you find the peace that escaped you most of your life.
