URBANA – Carlton Thomas, 75 of Urbana, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025 in Mercy Health – Urbana Hospital. Carlton was born on Nov. 28, 1949 in Noblesville, Indiana, to the late Carl B. and Bessie Lee (Turner) Thomas. Carlton dedicated 33 years of his career to Cooper Industry and 8 years at Honda. He also proudly served in the military for 28.1 years, committing his life to the defense and service of his country. A devoted member of the Forest Valley Church, Carlton also took part in numerous organizations, including the VFW, American Legion, Senior Center, and Disabled American Veterans (DAV). His commitment to service extended well beyond his time in the military, as he worked to support and connect with others in his community. Outside of his work and service, Carlton was a man of many interests. He found peace and joy in nature, enjoying activities like camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors.
